Cookie Policy
Last updated September 2026
This page explains the cookies used across Halo's tools, including profile.insurehalo.com and core.insurehalo.com.
The cookies we use
Halo sets two first-party cookies on profile.insurehalo.com, both strictly functional and both stored only in your browser.
halo_results stores your completed longevity assessment answers and computed results.
- Purpose: lets you close the tab and come back later without retaking the assessment, and — only if you confirm an "import my answers" prompt — lets another Halo tool reuse the same answers so you don't have to re-enter them
- Storage: your device only, for up to 180 days, or until you clear it
- Shared across: Halo's own *.insurehalo.com subdomains only, never sent to any Halo server or third party
halo_quiz_progress stores your answers to a quiz you've started but not finished.
- Purpose: if you close the tab by accident, lets you pick up where you left off instead of starting again
- Storage: your device only, for up to 30 days, or until you finish the quiz, choose "Start over", or clear it. It is removed automatically once you see your results
- Shared across: nothing — it is only ever read by the assessment page itself, never by another Halo tool, and never sent to any Halo server or third party
Neither is analytics, advertising, or tracking.
What we don't use
We don't use third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies of any kind. There are no cross-site trackers on Halo's tools.
Managing these cookies
You can remove your saved results at any time with the "Forget saved result" button on the results screen, remove a half-finished quiz by choosing "Start over" when prompted, or clear either by clearing cookies in your browser settings. Blocking or clearing them doesn't stop the assessment from working — it just means your results, or your place in an unfinished quiz, won't be remembered on your next visit.
